Wish List

St. Gregory High School is gratefully aware of the increasing involvement of alumni at all levels. You're here volunteering, serving on committees, providing program support and attending events. The variety of your careers and creative endeavors and the depth of your generosity make us proud to call you alumni!

One of the revelations that recently occured to us is that you are most inclined to help when we  target a specific need. With that in mind, administration surveyed the faculty to ask what might make their lives as teachers in the classroom run more smoothly to the benefit of the students. While the process is akin to writing a letter to Santa, the child in us realizes that unless we dare to imagine, dream and ask, he will never know what's in our hearts. And so the list begins . . .

Exercise Equipment
How many clothes can be hung on the handlebars of that exercise bike before you decide to ride it out to the alley? Teachers would love to have a variety of exercise equipment options to use before school and during lunch breaks to raise their energy levels and stamina! Contact riisearch@stgregory.org if you have any exercise equipment in good condition that you'd like to move along to a good home!

Upright piano, and/or any used electric keyboards.

Fans for summer school, big or small . . . . whatever moves air and can help keep us cool.

Microscopes for Science Lab. Maybe you bought your kid that microscope twenty years ago hoping he or she would grow up to be another Thomas Edison or Marie Curie? If there's no use for it now (your kid grew up to be a stock broker, anyway) maybe you can send it our way?

Digital camera for alumni/events office. You'd probably laugh if you saw the camera we use to capture our precious St. Gregory moments. If you've upgraded your digital camera recently and tossed your old camera into a closet, we'd love to have it. It would definitely be an "upgrade" for us!

Picture frames and matting for student artwork. Wth a little spray paint or stain, we'll restore your old picture frames to help showcase our students' artwork.

"Successories" motivational framed prints for classrooms.

Hostas and lily bulbs for outdoor beautification on Bryn Mawr Avenue.

Skilled carpenter to create permanent display for Wall of Fame plaques. It needn't be anything extremely fancy. We supply the materials, you supply the skill.

16-passenger van for Greyhound transport (used & safe is welcome!).

Contact Joan Riise at (773) 970-2114 if you have any questions or if you would like to arrange for a "Wish List" pick-up.
